About the Show
This is now our fifth year doing a light show choreographed to music. This year features a few new songs, and a change in layout for a better viewing experience. We're constantly tweaking the show. If you have any suggestions, feel free to email us at [email protected]
Each song takes 10-20 hours to program using specialized software called xLights that can create various effects for all the different elements of our show.
The show currently consists of over 5,200 individual LED lights, each of which can be fully colour controlled. The large panel is made up of LED panels consisting of 12,800 lights, and the small one has 16,384. All of the lights are connected to various controllers and power supplies using over 500 feet of extension cords and network cables. The controller is powered by a small computer that is also connected to an FM transmitter.
One of the most common questions we get is how much electricity the show uses. Everything runs on an efficient 12V and 5V DC system, using roughly 500 Watts per hour, so the show only costs about $3-4 to run every night.
Thanks for watching and we really hope you enjoyed the show. Merry Christmas!
